getting a contact contoller to connect with flowol3 Options

Hi,

I have a very old contact controller. I am trying to connect it to my computer using a serial to USB conenctor so that I can use it with flowol 3. The contact controller is appearing in the hardware menu as being connected to a port but after setting up the controller to the correct port on flowol 3 I cannot get the interface icon to stay green. Please can you help.

Dear Miranda,

Thank you for your post. I have just tried a Contact Controller Plus with an FTDI brand serial to USB converter with Flowol 3 and it works fine.

However, I am aware of an issue with some old Contact Controller hardware where the interface doesn't correctly report its version number to Flowol 3. We have made a fix for this in Flowol, but since we believe it only affects a small number of boxes we are only issuing the fix on a case by case basis.

So, could you e-mail me at support@flowol.com with your postal address and Flowol licence number and I will arrange for the fix to be sent out to you? If other users are reading this, and have problems with the Contact Controller and Flowol 3, please follow the same advice.
